As part of the homage to the Brazilian state of Bahia given by the 2nd Brazilian Film Festival of New York, the band Ara Ketu presented a concert in Central Park.

Ara Ketu was founded by residents of a poor neighborhood of Salvador called Periperi and became one of the most famous bands of the Carnival of Bahia. The band mixes electronic music with elements of traditional African music and percussion, and it fascinated the crowd at Central Park, which was overwhelmed by the frenetic pace of the concert.
