The 3rd Brazilian Film Festival of New York was opened with a free admission concert in Central Park given by rapper Gabriel, o Pensador (Gabriel, the Thinker). Gabriel, one of the most interesting artists of the current Brazilian musical scene, beat the prejudice that he suffered for being a white middle class boy that wanted to rap thanks to his songs with controversial lyrics.

The concert shook the huge audience that stood before SummerStage, in Central Park, the heart of New York. Gabriel sang his greatest hits and songs from his latest album, “Cavaleiro Andante”.
