The Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival of Miami, held since 1997, was the first Festival of the Inffinito Festival Circuit. Following its significant success with audiences, press, sponsors, and the audiovisual sector, it was invited to take place in several cities around the world, amongst them: New York, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Vancouver, Frascati, Milan, and Shanghai.
The Inffinito Film Festival of Miami is a pioneering festival, exclusively exhibiting Brazilian films, and has become an initiative of huge significance for the Brazilian film sector internationally. Providing an unparalleled platform for Brazilian film products abroad, it has proved decisive for the visibility of Brazil in the international market.
Since its second year, the Festival has been part of the city’s official calendar and is funded by the government of Florida, and the Cities of Miami and Miami Beach. The Festival has received several honors for its significant cultural impact, the most recent being that June 4th has been declared by the City of Miami as the official day of Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival.
Worldwide, Miami plays a vital role in the audiovisual sector as many companies from the sector are headquartered there. Throughout its 28 years, the Miami Film Festival has become a meeting point between professionals of the sector and the Latin and North American markets, a true Brazilian showroom; where international audiences can experience the country, its cultural aspects, its music, exchange ideas and do business.
